why was judaism demonized last century?

Down the centuries, the Jews have always been treated with suspicion and sometimes downright bigotry with various pogroms -- far more so by the Christians than the Moslems -- but the real hatred of the Jews only started in the 1900s with the new ideology of communism -- thought up by two German Jewish intellectuals, Marx and Engels -- which envisaged the world as a worker's paradise devoid of opiate religions and decadent aristocrats.

Marx and Engels wanted to end what they considered to be the unholy alliance between the Church and Germanic Royalty that had formed after the death of the Eastern Roman Emperor Zeno in 491 and plunged Europe into the Dark Ages, and in doing so they were attacking what most people considered to be the two pillars of western civilization.

Communism spread in popularity among the terribly oppressed people of Russia and China who overthrew their ruling dynasties and started an internationalist movement that became so threatening to both the Protestant and Catholic states that they finally stopped fighting each other and joined forces, expending a whole century in an effort to defeat it, bringing incredible prestige to the Roman Pope and terrible retribution upon the Jews who, rightly or wrongly, were blamed for supporting communism against Christianity.

Christian churches distanced themselves from their Jewish roots; generations of western children were raised in the 20th century without knowing that Jesus himself was Jewish; Jews were portrayed as ugly, twisted, black and venal people; Jesus became a blue-eyed blond; and communism was reviled as being a Jewish plot when, in fact, it was a means by which ordinary people could unshackle themselves from their religious oppressors and slave-driving masters.

Hatred of the Jews in Hitler's Germany was particularly inflamed by the Catholic Church, and it was accompanied by blatant promotion of white supremacy. Western civilization had now become not only European and Christian, but also white and capitalist!

Because few Christian nations would accept the Jews fleeing from persecution in Germany, Poland and Italy -- even the USA turned their refugee ships away -- they were eventually given part of the British Protectorate of Palestine that they claimed as their traditional homeland, but trouble immediately erupted with the native Moslems. The Palestinian objection was not so much because the new arrivals were Jewish -- as a Jewish enclave had always lived around Jerusalem -- but because they were mostly white Europeans bringing an alien European culture into their midst and, by virtue of their close ties to Europe, the possibility of foreign rule. How right they were!

By the time communism had fizzled out in Europe, the Christians reconciled with the Jews and western civilization once again embraced its Judaic ancestry -- this time going all the way back to Abraham of Ur in Iraq where the oil fields reside -- and with this reconciliation the Moslems became the group to be demonized.

will the western nations sacrifice israel?

Israel - a western styled Jewish state created in the middle of the Arab world - has been a thorn in the side of the Islamic nations since it was created in the post-WWII world, resulting in endless wars and acts of terrorism.

The Western nations have doggedly supported Israel throughout all of its travails, and yet there may come a time when the leaders of the western world are no longer prepared to sacrifice the peace and stability of their own nations in order to save this troubled western styled Jewish state.

The Islamic revolutionary agenda is not only to force the Jews out of Israel - causing another Diaspora - but also to force all western influences out of the Middle East.

Theorists may insist that the Christian western nations will never sacrifice Israel because it is not so much Israel and the home of Jesus that is at stake but the supply of oil. They claim that without middle eastern oil - facilitiated by Israel's location and big business influences in the area - the west would grind to a halt.

In that 9/11 spurred western nations into more research and development into other, far cleaner and more efficient fuels, the writing is already on the wall that once a viable alternative to oil has been developed the fate of Israel may be sealed due to the Middle Eastern oil supply becoming redundant.

Until then, of course, the western leaders, financed in government by the big oil companies, have an incredibly strong vested interest in keeping Israel - and their oil interests - firmly in place, at whatever cost.

If the American government was capable of sacrificing its own base at Pearl Harbor in order to get the national support it needed to enter WWII -- and the British government sacrificed the city of Coventry in order to protect its intelligence during the same war - then both nations are certainly capable of sacrificing Israel in order to gain support for pulling out of the Middle East completely.

What is more salient is the fact that the Israelis themselves are leaving the country in droves, emigrating to the USA or some other western country where they can make a safe and good life for themselves and families. The emigrating Israelis are obviously those who can afford to leave.

They believe that their Covenant with God does not stipulate that they should live in Isreal - or, indeed, stipulate that they should occupy territory such as the Gaza strip which was never a part of ancient Isreal.

There is also growing sympathy in Israel for the dispossessed Palestinians - a feeling of shame and guilt regarding treating others badly - but overall there is also a great deal of fear in relation to their numerical insignificance in the areas they occupy.
